Pieke Bergmans

Pieke Bergmans (1978, Sprang-Capelle) wants to do things differently in her work. With this approach, she has established herself internationally in a short time; she is currently Brazil’s Designer of the Year. Freeze is her first solo museum exhibition.  a Selection of her early work is shown, including three new designs: the chair Melted Bronze, neon light Alive and the series of ceramic Imbalance.

Pieke is fascinated by movement and forms that arise from motion. She is studying production processes to manipulate and then edit them. She allowes the material to choose its own path and then freezes the form when it is most interesting.
The expo Freeze in Noord Brabants museum in ‘s-Hertogenbosch can be visited until the 11th of Januari.
